We provide remote service anywhere in the USA.  We can even fix your PC when you are traveling anywhere in the world *.  We also provide on-site service in the Metro Phoenix area.

* You must be an existing customer and have a reliable internet connection.

Q?When will I get a call back?
A.

If you have called and left a message, calls are typically returned within the same day and an appointment will be scheduled immediately at that time, if applicable. Worse case scenario, would be the next business day on a call return if we are busy working with other clients.

Don’t we all some days! Other days we love them. Your Computer should be a positive addition to your life not a cause of stress. Q?How did I get these viruses?
A.

Well, lack of periodic maintenance is usually the cause but ineffective software may also be the problem as well. Have a trusted professional recommend the proper software and configurations for your proper security and hassle-free surfing operation.

Infected, infected, infected! You should clean your system thoroughly to remove all infections.

Q?I get errors all the time.
A.

The first thing to do is copy the specific error and simply Google it to research the proper cause and fix of your specific problem. Beginner to intermediate users have a professional check out your system to determine the problem(s).

Q?My computer reboots on its own.
A.

Same as the previous ^ If this happens on a regular basis, it’s most likely your power settings. From your desktop: Right click on a blank area of your desktop and click ‘properties / screen saver / power’ if it happens very sporadically and without warning or errors attached then have a professional examine your system for the cause.

Q?My laptop keeps shutting off.
A.

If this happens on a regular basis, it’s most likely your power settings. From your desktop: Right click on a blank area of your desktop and click ‘properties / screen saver / power’ Here you will typically have six different tabs to adjust your appropriate power settings while you are plugged in or running on battery power. If it happens very sporadically and without warning or errors attached then have a professional examine your system for the cause.

Q?My PC takes forever when I turn it on.

There are unlimited reasons for this but the most common are an over loaded startup menu, prefetch list and various registry run locations. This could also be due to infections of different types, software or resource conflicts, incorrect paths, not enough memory, slow or failing CPU, slow or failing hard drive, etc. Have a professional check out your system to determine the problem(s).

Q?Why does my Homepage keep changing?

This is most likely an infection of the Adware variety. More specifically a Trojan, Hijacker or similar. It is very popular for malicious applications to change, manipulate or redirect your home page. You should clean your system thoroughly to remove all infections.

Q?Why are pages opening up on their own?
A.

This is most likely an infection of the Adware variety. More specifically a Trojan, Hijacker or similar. It is very popular for malicious applications to create popups on your system while you are surfing, or in some cases even when you are not. You should clean your system thoroughly to remove all infections.

Q?How do I remove a program?
A.

(Windows 10 and 11) From your desktop: navigate> Start / settings / system / apps & features. Locate and left click the app or program you would like to remove and click ‘uninstall’.

(Windows 10 and 11 – Windows Store Applications) From the Start Screen: Right click on the live tile of the program you want to remove and select uninstall from the list.

Q?Do I Need more memory?
A.

Typically, yes.   We recommend at least 12GB for Windows 11.  The more memory the better.

Q?Can I transfer my email contacts?
A.

Yes, almost every mail software has import and export options but they can get a bit tricky when transferring from one type of software or operating system to another.

Q?Can I transfer programs I like?
A.

Yes, but only if the install files are available for download or you have an install disk and are compatible with your current operating system. In most cases your settings, templates or data can be transferred to a different or upgraded version of your software.

Q?Should I back up my Computer?
A.

If you have anything of personal value to yourself or others that you do not want to risk losing, yes. Music, documents, pictures, email, etc are easily saved to an external HD or USB flash drive to keep things simple. If you would like to keep your entire OS backed up please see the next question.

Q?How do I back up my Computer?
A.

Via Imaging, standard backup utilities or Time Machine if you are using a Mac, to your USB flash drive or external HD. Online backup is the safest option. It is easy to use and affordable as well. Please call us for info about our online backup solution.

Q?How do I install a program?
A.

(Windows 10 and 11) You may download a program or app from a website or the Windows Store.  The downloaded program will appear in your downloads folder.  Be very careful you purchase or download a program from a reputable website or online store.  Double click the install file and follow the prompts to install your program.

(Windows 10 and 11) – Windows Store Applications) From the Start Menu or your desktop taskbar: Left click the Windows Store Live Tile > Browse or Search for the App you want > Click the Application Tile to get a description of the App > Click install if free or the price to purchase and install.

Q?Why isn’t my anti-virus software working?
A.

Well, there are a lot of different possible reasons why. Is it up to date? Is it the latest version? Do you scan regularly? Is it configured properly? If the answer is, “I’m not sure” or “no”, to any of those questions, one or all of them is most likely the problem. There are also many anti-virus or protection applications that are ineffective and should be removed and replaced. Unfortunately, these are typically installed on most new PC’s when you get them.
